ReplyDeleteOur 100th day of school is in 10 short days! That will be a lot of fun to plan for and to orchestrate! That, getting the rest of my kiddos reading, and addition and subtraction will be occupying all of our time for the next 2-3 months.

ReplyDeleteMonday will be my first day ever as a teacher!!!! I graduated last month, so we will be learning a lot about one another. I have created an interview and will have the students interview one another so I can learn more about my students. We will also create graphs to record our data. :)

ReplyDeleteWe are doing a unit using different versions of "The Mitten". I love that story! One activity ties in our current lessons on estimating, by having the students estimate how many snowballs (marshmallows)will fit in an outline of their mitten. Of course, they will have to find the actual number, too, and have a few extras on hand! :)

We decorated the room by hanging stars from the ceiling tiles. Prior to hanging the stars the students wrote on one side of the star their top 5 memories of last year and on the other side of the star they wrote their top 5 goals for this year!
